Amir Hamzah 

Amir Hamzah or Tengku Amir Hamzah was born in Tanjung Pura, East Sumatera 28 February 1911. He was born in a noble family Melayu and many involved in the nature of Malay literature culture. He also being an Indonesian literary force New Poet. During his life Amir wrote over 160 literary works, comprised of both poetry and short stories. He not only a great poet but also the poet who recognize competence in Malay-Indonesa until now. Amir Hamzah was killed in the Social Revolution of East Sumatera which hit the eastern coast of Sumatera in the early years of Indonesia’s independence at 20 March 1946
